Abstract:
Diplomska naloga obravnava testiranje virtualnega stroja Oracle Big Data Lite (BDL), ki vsebuje že nameščeno demo aplikacijo Movieplex s pripadajočimi podatki. Podana je definicija podatkov in informacij. Predstavljeni so načini shranjevanja in obdelave podatkov. Prikazane so posebnosti manipulacije z masovnimi podatki, ki so tako strukturirani kot tudi nestrukturirani. Opisane so osnove virtualizacije in virtualizacijsko okolje Oracle VirtualBox. Preskušene so izbrane komponente obravnavanega virtualnega stroja in funkcije demo aplikacije Movieplex.

TESTING OF »ORACLE BIG DATA VM«
Abstract:
This research focuses on testing virtual machine Oracle Big Data Lite (BDL) which contains pre-installed demo application Movieplex and associated data. Definitions of data and information are presented and explained. Methods of storing and processing data are described. Big data is structured as well as unstructured. Specific properties of big data manipulation are shown. The foundations of virtualization and virtualization environment Oracle VirtualBox are given. Selected components of the virtual machine and functions of demo application Movieplex are tested.
