Abstract:	Zlate ribice (Carassius auratus) so hladnovodne ribe kostnice, za katere je značilno da so odporne tudi na neoptimalne življenjske pogoje. Imajo dobro razvit vid, s katerim dobro razlikujejo različne barve in oblike objektov ter razdalje. Zaradi omenjenih lastnosti so pogosto uporabljene živali v etoloških poskusih. V diplomski nalogi smo raziskovali instrumentalno pogojevanje pri zlatih ribicah (Carassius auratus). Štiri osebke smo najprej naučili sledenja hranilni palici nato pa samostojnega plavanja skozi obroč. Po osvojenih nalogah smo spremenili barvo in obliko obroča ter opazovali spremembo obnašanja v obeh primerih. Pri spremenjeni obliki obroča se čas, potreben za to, da je riba opravila svojo nalogo ni bistveno spremenil, pri spremenjeni barvi pa so ribe potrebovale občutno več časa, da so nalogo zaključile, ali pa je sploh niso zaključile. Ugotovili smo, da so starejše ribe za učenje potrebovala več časa od mlajših, pa tudi da spol pri hitrosti učenja ni igral nobene razlike.

Title:	Instrumental conditioning and discriminating of color and shape of an object in gold fishes (Carassius auratus)
Abstract:	Goldfish (Carassius auratus) are cold-water teleosts with traits resistant to sub-optimal living conditions. They have a well-developed vision, capable of distinguishing different colors, shapes, as well as distance. Because of the aforementioned attributes, goldfish are commonly used animals in ethological experiments. In this thesis, we investigated instrumental conditioning in goldfish (Carassius auratus). Firstly, we taught four specimens to follow the feeding rod, and then to swim independently trough a hoop. Subsequently, first the color and then the shape of the hoop was changed, and any difference in behavior was observed. When the shape of the hoop was changed, the time required for the goal completion was not significantly changed, while on color change, the fish required much more time until completing the assignment or the assignment was not completed at all. We observed that the older fish required more time to learn than the younger, and that the sex of the fish was not a factor in learning speed.
