Abstract:	Inovativno usmerjeno podjetništvo vpliva na gospodarsko rast in učinkovitost gospodarstva. Pomembno je najti inovativno, dobro idejo in jo uresničiti v praksi. Podjetništvo in inovativnost sta se tako znašla v središču proučevanja in predstavljata jedro konkurenčnosti vsakega gospodarstva. Tako smo se v našem diplomskem projektu osredotočili na proučevanje podjetja, v katerem se prepletajo tri temeljne funkcije: lastniška, podjetniška in managerska. Za ustanovitev podjetja so potrebni ljudje s posebnim znanjem in sposobnostmi - podjetniki. Podjetnik je oseba, ki organizira podjem, najema inpute, upravlja vsakdanje operacije in prevzema riziko (Rebernik, 1999, str. 55). Za uspešno poslovanje so pomembni tudi managerji. Managerji upravljajo z lastnino in kapitalom, ki ga lastniki (praviloma so to podjetniki) vložijo v podjetje. Managerji tako iščejo metode in načine na uspešno poslovanje podjetja in praviloma tesno stojijo ob podjetnikih. V diplomskem projektu smo opisali razlike in podobnosti med podjetnikom in managerjem. V nadaljevanju smo predstavili glavne značilnosti managerja in podjetnika, njune osebnosti in lastnosti, vloge in naloge, v katerih se pojavljata, njuno motivacijo in tveganje, ki ga prevzemata. Natančno smo opredelili tudi pojem podjetništva in managementa. Temu sledi raziskava, v kateri smo s pomočjo ankete ugotavljali vlogo podjetnika in managerja v izbranem slovenskem podjetju. Rezultate ankete smo podrobno analizirali in prikazali v empiričnem delu. Z raziskavo smo ugotovili, da je uspešnost podjetja močno odvisna tako od podjetnika kakor tudi managerja. Prav tako smo ugotovili, da se podjetnik in manager dopolnjujeta pri opravljanju nalog. Podjetnik vpelje svojo poslovno idejo na trg in poskrbi za finančna sredstva, manager pa s temi sredstvi razpolaga oz. poskrbi za uspešno poslovanje podjetja.

Title:	The role of the entrepreneur and the role of the manager in the selected Slovenian company
Abstract:	Innovatively oriented entrepreneurship influences the economic growth and efficiency of the economy. It is important to find innovative, good idea and materialize it in practice. Entrepreneurship and innovativeness have found themselves in the middle of studying and represent the core of competitiveness of every economy. Thus in our diploma thesis we focused on the studying of the company, where three basic functions are intertwined: ownership, entrepreneurship and managerial functions. In order to found the company people with special knowledge and abilities are necessary – the entrepreneurs. An entrepreneur is a person who organizes business, hires inputs, manages daily operations and takes the risk. For a successful conduct of business managers are also important. Managers manage the property and the capital, which is invested into the company by the owners (these are the entrepreneurs as a rule). Thus, the managers seek the methods and ways for a successful conduct of business and stand closely to the owners as a rule. In the diploma thesis we described the differences and similarities between the entrepreneur and the manager. Furthermore, we presented the main characteristics of the manager and the entrepreneur, their personalities and characteristics, roles and tasks where they appear, their motivation and risks they take. We precisely defined the conception of entrepreneurship and management also. In addition, there is a research where we acquired the answers from the entrepreneur and the manager in the selected Slovenian company by means of inquiry. The results of the inquiry were analyzed in detail and presented in the empirical part. By means of the research we discovered that the success of the company strongly depends on the entrepreneur and the manager as well. We also discovered that entrepreneur and the manager complement each other in performing the tasks. The entrepreneur introduces his business idea to the market and provides for the financial resources. The manager uses these resources and provides for the successful conduct of business of the company.
