Title:The Formation of the Polish State after World War I
Abstract:Diploma work The forming of Polish State after The First World War deals with the way which Poland had to take since The First World War, when Polish region was divided into three European respectively World great-powers (German, Russian and Austro-Hungarian empires), until the forming of Polish State in the post-war years. The First World War has been the important turning-point in the history of man-kind as with its end the political image of Europe has changed significantly. Three great multinational empires – German, Austro-Hungarian and Russian ones had declined. Out of imperial remains a lot of new states have arisen, especially on the territory of Middle Europe. Polish Republic has been, among the others, one of them and Polish nation has since then represented remarkable part in all three mentioned European respectively World great-powers. The foundation of the great Polish State on the territory of Middle Europe has been placed because German and Austro-Hungary had been defeated in The First World War and Russia had retreated before the end of it due to the threat of Bolshevist revolution. After the war the forming of Polish State has been one of the most important goals of the winning allies at settling the post-war Europe. Strong Poland should appear for important barrier between the great loser and thirst-revenging Germany on one hand and Bolshevist Russia as the winner in civil war on the other hand. Poland should also appear for the major bastion from spreading Bolshevist revolution to the West. So in this diploma work the forming of Polish State is also represented from above depicted points of view. Regardless Polish question the points of view of Western great-forces (France, United Kingdom and The United States of America) as the most significant actors of settling the post-war Europe respectively World have been represented.
