Abstract:	Diplomsko delo z naslovom Vpliv spola na izbiro barv pri likovnem izražanju predšolskega otroka je sestavljeno iz dveh delov. Prvi del je teoretični in predstavlja izhodišča, ki so bila osnova za načrtovanje naše raziskave, katere rezultati se nahajajo v drugem (empiričnem) delu. V teoretičnem delu smo se dotaknili barv na splošno, barvne sistematike, fiziologije barvnega zaznavanja, ki razlaga, kaj nam omogoča barvo sploh videti. Ugotovili smo, da se termin ''barva'' pojavlja na različnih področjih znanosti in da ima vsako področje svoj pogled nanj. Različne barve po navedbah številnih avtorjev vsakdo doživlja drugače, zato ni zaman likovna delitev na tople in hladne. Spomnili pa smo se še tistih, ki so barvno slepi in barve že v izhodišču doživljajo drugače. Opisali smo razvoj likovnega izražanja predšolskih otrok in raziskali še vlogo in pomen samega likovnega izražanja v tem obdobju. Izhodišče za naslov diplomskega dela predstavlja poglavje z naslovom Likovno izražanje otrok z barvo. Sledi mu pregled barv, ki jih otrocih uporabijo na likovnih izdelkih s psihološkega vidika. Povzeli smo še stereotipe, vezane na spol, in nekaj ugotovitev dosedanjih raziskav, ki so se ukvarjale z enakim problemom. Namen naše raziskave je bil ugotoviti, ali prihaja do razlik med spoloma v uporabi barv pri likovnem izražanju predšolskih otrok. V raziskavi so sodelovali štiri- in petletni otroci iz enot Vrtca ''Otona Župančiča'' Slovenska Bistrica. Vsak izmed njih je po navodilih prispeval tri likovne izdelke, ki smo jih kasneje analizirali. Postopek zbiranja podatkov, pridobljene rezultate in ugotovitve smo predstavili v empiričnem delu diplomske naloge.

Title:	The Impact of Gender on Choice of Colors in Art Class of Preschool Children
Abstract:	The diploma thesis entitled The Impact of Gender on Choice of Colors in Art Class of Preschool Children consists of two parts. The first one is theoretical and presents the basis which was fundamental for planning of our research, whose results can be found in the second (empirical) part. In the theoretical part, we explained colours in general, colour systematics, physiology of colour perception, which explains what enables us to see colours. We discovered that the term »colour« appears at different areas of science and that every area has its own perspective about it. Different colours are experienced differently according to numerous authors, therefore, the division to warm and cold colours is not in vain. We also explained about people who are colour blind and experience colours differently from the scratch. We described the development of art expression with pre-school children and research also the role and the meaning of art expression in that period. The starting point for the diploma thesis title presents the chapter entitled Artistic Expression of Children with Colour. It is followed by a description of colours children use with art drawings from the psychological point of view. We also presented gender stereotypes and some findings of the current researches, which were researching the same problem. The purpose of the research was to find out if it comes to differences between genders when using colours of pre-school children at art lessons. The research was conveyed with four- and five year-old children from the kindergarten units »Oton Župančič« Slovenska Bistrica. Each one of them contributed three artistic works, which we later on analysed. The procedure of gathering data, the gained results and findings are presented in the empirical part of the diploma thesis.
