Title:HUMAN RIGHTS AND INTERFERENCE IN A PERSON'S INTEGRITY WITH REGARD TO COMPULSORY VACCINATION
Abstract:Human rights and fundamental freedoms are exercised directly on the basis of the Constitution, on the other hand they are limited by the rights of others as well as in cases determined by the Constitution (Constitution, 1991). Individuals have to waive their rights in certain cases because the interest of the society as a whole outweighs the individual one’s. Subject of the thesis were dilemmas or justification of compulsory vaccination in terms of human rights. Vaccination is undoubtedly an interference in the human body and integrity, which is inviolable according to the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia. The interest of the wider community in individual cases above the interests of the community, so we need in certain cases to waive their rights and our integrity even in the event of vaccination. The public widely believed that vaccination is safe and effective intervention without the side effects and adverse reactions. Vaccination is undoubtedly an invasive procedure, which, despite the belief that it is safe, provides short and long-term effects such as allergic reactions and autoimmune diseases. The consequences of vaccination are often barely visible a few months or even years after receiving the vaccine, so a lot of times they do not associate themselves with vaccination but as a separate disease. We studied infectious childhood diseases and their threat compared to side effects and outline a shift of childhood diseases in later-life as a result of vaccination. We have explored the link between the growth of the individual "new-age" diseases and proportional to the increased use of vaccines. We wondered whether the vaccine is safe at all, what is the immune response to vaccination and what are the measures to protect the security and other armed forces in the event of a pandemic.
