Obravnavanje so predstavljala kontrola (brez dodatnega gnojenja) in gnojenje z LITHO KR+ v tla.

Title:Influence of limestone extracted from seaweed on quality parameters by apple variety Pinova
Abstract:In 2010, we carried out an experiment on estate of the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences using LITHO KR+ calcium fertiliser. The experiment was carried out on apple trees of the ‘Pinova’ variety growing on the Vrecl plantation. The experiment included 42 trees. The experiment included a control group (without additional fertilising) and a group in which the LITHO KR+ fertiliser was added to the soil. After harvest, we weighed the apples and divided them into quality grades according to the diameter and colouring of the fruit. Then tests were carried out for hardness of the fruit flesh, dry matter content, starch index and acidity content. We came to the conclusion that the use of the LITHO KR+ calcium fertiliser does not have an influence on the vegetative growth of the apple trees of the ‘Pinova’ variety, nor does it have a statistically significant influence on the yield. However, it does improve fruit hardness and results in higher values on the Streif index. Data analysis has shown that the level of hardness is better and higher after the use of mentioned fertilizer. Additionally, LITHO KR+ calcium fertiliser has a favourable influence on the colouring of the fruit. The analysis has confirmed that LITHO KR+ fertiliser has a statistically significant influence on a higher share of better coloured apples (over 50 % of red colour), that defines the market value of apples.
