Abstract:Na področju preprečevanja družinskega nasilja nad ženskami je bilo v preteklosti storjeno že veliko. Dolgo neviden zasebni problem, je končno postal problem, za katerega je družbeno odgovoren vsak. Vendar kljub prizadevanjem, tako na nacionalni kot na mednarodni ravni, družinsko nasilje, zaradi svoje zasebne narave, še vedno prevečkrat ostaja skrito oziroma ga pristojne institucije odkrijejo šele, ko so posledice že zelo hude ali celo usodne. Poleg zakonodajnih okvirov, ki morajo dati ustrezno pravno podlago za celostno in učinkovito obravnavo primerov nasilja ter usklajeno delovanje in sodelovanje vseh pristojnih institucij, je bistveno ozaveščenje ljudi. Dopustna meja nasilja ne obstaja in vsakršno nasilje je strogo prepovedano in mora biti ustrezno sankcionirano. Odpraviti je potrebno vse oblike diskriminacije, krepiti družbeno moč in ekonomsko neodvisnost žensk ter spodbujati in uresničevati dejansko enakost med spoloma. Posebno pozornost je potrebno nameniti tudi povzročiteljem nasilja, ki tako kot žrtev, potrebujejo strokovno pomoč, ki jo lahko nudijo le dobro usposobljeni in izobraženi kadri.

Title:DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
Abstract:In the past we have witnessed a spectre of activity in the field of prevention of domestic violence against women. The issue was hidden in the mist of privacy for a long time and has finally reached the definition of being an issue for which every person is socially responsible. Domestic violence and its private nature remains hidden too many times or is discovered only after harsh or even fatal consequences, despite the national and international efforts. Alongside legislation with suitable legal foundations for comprehensive and efficient treatment of violence and coordinated activity and collaboration between all competent institutions, it is also essential to raise awareness. There is no permissible level of violence and any form of violence is prohibited and must be sectioned appropriately. All forms of discrimination must be eliminated, while social strength and economic independence of women should be strengthened. We should also encourage and realise real gender equality. Those, who commit violence, should also be treated as well as the victims with professional help, which can be provided by skilled and educated personnel.
