Abstract:Zaradi starajočega se prebivalstva in posledično starejše delovne sile se morajo podjetja prilagoditi tej ciljni skupini in jo posebej obravnavati. Zato morajo delodajalci poskrbeti, da starejši zaposleni čim dlje ostanejo v podjetju, saj so bogat vir izkušenj, znanja in dolgoletne prakse.

Title:HANDLING WITH OLDER EMPLOYEES IN THE COMPANY
Abstract:Due to the population ageing and consequently an older workforce companies must adapt to this target group and deal with it separately. This process is very complex, therefore special measures for older employees are required. This target group is more vulnerable, therefore companies should pay them particular attention. A large problem is employing older employees, because once they lose their jobs it is very hard for them to get introduced back to it again. Therefore, employers must ensure, that older employees stay in the company as long as possible as they represent a rich source of knowledge and years of experience. The fact that their knowledge can be passed on to younger employees is also a great advantage. The Master’s thesis entitled Handling with Older Employees in the Company is composed of two parts. In the theoretical part we researched opinions of various authors on the issue of population ageing and the personality traits of older employees. In the chapter on treatment of older employees within a company we described the legal framework of employing older employees, how they are educated, intergenerational cooperation and measures for this target group. In the empirical part we presented a research, which helped us to determine how the older employees are treated at a company in the Styrian region and to interpret this data.
