Abstract:	Dohodkovna neenakost je pojav, ki predstavlja v svetu vedno večji problem. Vzrok dohodkovne neenakosti je v razlikah prejetih dohodkov med različnimi dohodkovnimi skupinami. Sam problem izhaja iz tega, da tisti, ki že prejemajo najvišje dohodke, prejemajo še višje dohodke, medtem pa dohodki ostalih ne rastejo z tako hitrostjo, ali pa se manjšajo. S tem pa nastajajo vedno večje razlike med bogatimi in revnimi ter izginja ti. srednji sloj prebivalstva. Združene države Amerike sodijo med največje in najbolj razvite države na svetu. Prav tako pa sodijo med države z največjimi dohodkovnimi razlikami. S tem razlogom smo se tudi mi odločili, za raziskavo gospodarskih razmer ter dohodkovne neenakosti v ZDA. V delu diplomskega projekta smo ugotovili, da so ZDA svetovna gospodarska velesila, vendar se tudi njihovo gospodarstvo ubada z različnimi težavami. Vedno večjo težavo pa jim povzroča tudi dohodkovna neenakost, saj prihaja do vedno večjih razlik med skupino prebivalstva, ki prejema najvišje dohodke in skupino prebivalstva, ki prejema najnižje dohodke. Tako so se v zadnjih 15 letih, dohodki najbogatejših zvišali, dohodki prebivalstva, ki pa prejema pod povprečne dohodke, pa so se celo znižali. Na podlagi ugotovitev lahko trdimo, da tako v ZDA, kot v ostalih državah, dohodkovna neenakost postaja vedno večja težava in menimo, da se bodo morali za spremembo tega trenda, uvesti številni ukrepi.

Title:	INCOME INEQUALITY IN THE USA
Abstract:	Income inequality is a phenomenon, that represents the world's growing problem. The cause of income inequality is in differences of received incomes between different income groups. The problem stems from the fact, that those who already receive higher incomes, yet receive a higher incomes, while incomes from other does not grow with such a speed, or are shrinking. However, this is creating a growing gap between rich population and poor population and because of that, the so called middle layer of the population, is disappearing. United States of America are among the largest and most developed countries of the world. They are also among between countries, with highest income disparities. Because of those reasons, we also decided to study economic situations and income inequality of USA. In the part of the diploma project, we found that the USA are one of the world's biggest economic countries, but also their economy deals with various problems. The increasing problem also causes income inequality, because the gaps between population group receiving the highest incomes and population group receiving the lowest incomes are increasing. Thus, in the last 15 years, incomes of richest population have increased, incomes of the population, which receives less than average income, had even decreased. Based on the findings, we can say that in the USA, as in the other countries, income inequality is becoming a growing problem and we believe that, if we want to reverse that trend, we must introduce a number of restrictions.
