Abstract:V delu diplomskega seminarja bomo predstavili zelena delovna mesta, ki so potencialna delovna mesta prihodnosti. V petem poglavju smo analizirali zelena delovna mesta v Sloveniji in Evropski uniji. V sklepu smo strnili ugotovitve in potrdili hipoteze.

Title:THE ANALYSIS OF GREEN WORKPLACES IN SLOVENIA AND EUROPEAN UNION
Abstract:In the thesis, we will present green workplaces, which are prospective workplaces of the future. In the context of green workplaces important issue is sustainable development, because some of traditional approaches to business operating are not effective in today’s business environment. Additionally, here arose questions like how to optimise the business, how to lover costs, how to improve efficiency and how to lessen negative environmental impact. In the past, traditional companies were focused on gaining short-term profit, but they made huge environmental damage. One of solutions for environmental and economic crisis is creating green workplaces, which encourage transition into green/low-carbon economy. These subjects connect fields of economy, environment and society. In this work we focus on concept of sustainability, sustainable development and green businesses. Through those concepts we better understand definition and meaning of green workplaces. The theoretical overview of green workplaces is supported by examples of a good business practices in Slovenia, which set trends in various sectors and industries. In fifth chapter we made an analysis of green workplaces in Slovenia and European Union. In conclusion we summed up findings about green workplaces and verified hypothesis.
