Abstract:	V diplomskem delu sem se osredotočila na področje grafike in raziskovala grafični tehniki sitotiska in monotipije. Predvsem sem se ukvarjala s povezavo obeh tehnik. S tem sem predstavila možnost enkratnosti odtisa. Pri procesu sem temo barve obravnavala tako s teoretičnega kot praktičnega vidika. V praktičnem delu so uporabljene primarne barve, s katerimi prikažem njihovo neposredno mešanje na sito in učinke v končnem odtisu. V teoretičnem delu sem nakazala neposredne in šablonske pristope izvajanja tiska, kakršnih se lahko lotimo pri monotipijskem postopku sitotiska. V delu podrobno obravnavam umetnika Gerharda Richterja in Vojka Pogačarja. Gerhard Richter se izčrpno ukvarja s temo barve in »neklasičnimi« pristopi slikanja na platno. Kljub raznolikosti tehnik najdemo v izvedbi, predvsem v opusu abstraktnih slik, skupni imenovalec v njegovem ustvarjalnem procesu. Akademski slikar Vojko Pogačar je mariborski akademski slikar in profesor, ki se vedno znova ukvarja s temo barva in se v svojih delih poslužuje novih pristopov sitotiska, ki ga tudi razvija in dopolnjuje. Njegovo umetniško ustvarjanje je podano v intervjuju, v katerem ga tudi interpretira. V končnih poglavjih predstavljam svoje grafike, ki so rezultat povezovanja teorije in prakse z vidika zastavljene problematike. Nastale so z uporabo primarnih barv in kot posledica njihovega posrednega mešanja z različnimi linijskimi nanosi.

Title:	POTENTIALS OF THE MONOTYPE PROCESS USING PRIMARY COLOURS IN SCREEN PRINTING
Abstract:	The thesis entitled Potentials of the Monotype Process Using Primary Colours in Screen Printing focuses on graphic art and researches two graphic techniques, screen printing and monotype. It particularly examines the combination of these two techniques and thus presents a potential singularity of the print. The process itself is discussed theoretically as well as practically. The practical part involves primary colours that enable the presentation of their immediate mixture on screen and the effects shown in the final print. The theoretical part indicates ways of direct and stencil printing that can be tackled in the monotype process of screen printing. The artists Gerhard Richter and Vojko Pogačar are discussed in this work in detail. Gerhard Richter engaged himself in colours and “non-classical” approaches to painting on canvas. Despite the differing techniques, a common denominator can be detected in the completion of the creative process, especially in his abstract paintings. Vojko Pogačar is an artist based in Maribor, who has been repeatedly tackling the visual element of colour and resorting in his works to new approaches in screen printing, which he also complements and develops further. His artistic creation is herein presented in an interview, in which the artist interprets it himself. My own graphic artworks, being a result of connecting theory and practice of the topic discussed in the thesis, are presented in the final chapters. They have been created by the use of primary colours and as a result of their random mixture with different linear applications.
