Abstract:S poskusom smo želeli ugotoviti, ali so živali zmožne senzoričnega zaznavanja različnih krmnih mešanic, in ali so zmožne izbrati med različnimi krmnimi mešanicami. Poskus je bil razdeljen na dve opazovani skupini po 25 živali in je potekal ob različnih temperaturnih pogojih (povprečna zunanja temperatura pri prvi skupini 13 °C in pri drugi skupini 20 °C). Živali so bile označene in snemane.

Title:The study of being able to choose feed for broiler chickens in the period of fattening
Abstract:The experiment was to determine whether the animals are able of sensory perception of different feed mixtures and able to choose between different feed mixtures. The experiment was divided into two surveyed groups of 25 animals and was carried out in different temperature conditions (the average temperature of the external environment in first group was 13 °C and in second group 20 °C). Animals were marked and recorded. Available were the same basic feed mixture (KM0) with three different feed supplements (KM1, KM2, KM3) on the basis of chestnut tannin. We set up all these feeds at 4 predetermined location, and after certain time we randomly changed feed mixtures between locations. By changing the positions of the feed we got the periods within which we statistically analysed a visit of locations and feed mixtures. The analysis was performed with the statistical program SPSS 21.0 with analysis χ2 and by z-test. At lower temperatures we counted more visits of feed and vice versa at higher temperatures. In group 1 and 2 were detected significant (P ≤ 0.05) changes in the frequency of location visits, while they were significant (P ≤ 0.05) changes in the frequency of the visit of feed mixtures detected only in the group 2. Higher bodyweight achieved animals in group 1which visited more feed mixtures, while the higher bodyweight was achieved by animals in group 2 which mostly visited only one feed mixture . It has been observed that the chicks after changing the position of the feed followed the feed to a new position.
