Abstract:	Z zakonom o dostopu do informacij javnega značaja se uresničuje ustavna pravica državljanov do vpogleda delovanja državnih organov in nadzor nad njihovim delovanjem. Tudi Slovenska obveščevalno-varnostna agencija je kot samostojna vladna služba zavezana spoštovati določila ZDIJZ in prosilcem omogočiti vpogled v informacije javnega značaja. Sama narava obveščevalnega dela temelji na načelu tajnosti delovanja in na tajnosti dokumentov kar omejuje dostop do informacij. Javnost, ki postaja zaradi tehnološkega razvoja, kamor spada tudi razvoj svetovnega spleta vse bolj informirana, se sklicuje na interes javnosti razkritja informacij, ki je močnejši od stopnje tajnosti, s katero želijo obveščevalne službe prikriti določene nepravilnosti in tako zlorabijo tajnost za druge interese. Javni interes postaja v razvoju demokracije pomemben pojem in predstavlja tudi izjemo, ki dovoljuje dostop do informacij javnega značaja.

Title:	Public Information Access Act and Slovene Intelligence and Security Agency
Abstract:	The aim of The Public Information Access Act (ZDIJZ)is to ensure the publicity and openness of the work of the bodies, as well as facilitate the exercise of the rights of individuals and legal entities to acquire information of public character. The Slovene Intelligence and Security Agency must comply with the provisions of the ZDIJZ Act. The nature of intelligence work is based on the principle of classification of work and classification of documents, which limits the access to information. Due to technological development, the public is becoming more informed. it demands specific answers and responsibility of the authority, relying on the public's interest in the disclosure of information, stronger than the degree of classification , the violation of which can serve other interests, such as covering irregularities under the pretence of classification. The concept of public interest is an exception that allows access to information of public character.
