Abstract:	Namen diplomske naloge je predstaviti vlogo bogomilov in prihod islama v Bosno in Hercegovino. Na začetku dela smo se osredotočili na predhodnike srednjeveških dualističnih herezij. S tem smo želeli raziskati in opredeliti ključne dogodke, ki so kasneje vplivali na razvoj bogomilstva. S pomočjo komparativne metode smo predstavili nastanek in razvoj bogomilstva ter njegov vpliv na prebivalstvo Bosne in Hercegovine. Prav tako smo opisali nastanek in razvoj bosanske cerkve, ki je imela v zgodovini srednjeveške Bosne izredno pomembno vlogo. Osredotočili smo se predvsem na njihovo ideologijo, cilje, organizacijsko strukturo in sam zaton le-te. Namen diplomskega dela je bil predstaviti prehod in proces islamizacije na ozemlju Bosne in Hercegovine, ki smo ga razdelili v tri različne sklope. Ti zajemajo obdobje prehoda bogomilov v islam, sprejemanje islama v obdobju Osmanskega cesarstva in širjenje islama v Bosni po 16. stoletju. Sam prihod islama na področje Bosne in Hercegovine je povzročil spremembo verske strukture prebivalstva in s tem posledično propad bosanske cerkve.

Title:	BOGOMILS AND THE ARRIVAL OF ISLAM IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
Abstract:	The aim of this thesis is to present the role of bogomils and the arrival of Islam to Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the beginning of the thesis we focus on the antecedents of medieval dualistic heresies. With this we want to explore and define the key events which later influenced development of bogomilism. By means of comparative method, we present the formation and development of bogomilism and its impact on the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We have also described the formation and development of the bosnian church, which had an extremely important role in the history of medieval Bosnia. We mainly focus on the ideology, objectives, organizational structure and the demise thereof. The purpose of the thesis was to explain the transition process and the Islamisation of the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is divided into three different sections. These cover a period of the transition of bogomilism to islam, adopting islam in the period of the Ottoman empire and the spread of islam in Bosnia after the 16th century. The arrival of islam to the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina altered the religious structure of the population and caused the consequent collapse of the bosnian church.
