Podrobneje sta obdelana še neobjavljena transliterirana vira sodnih procesov proti Marini Bohinec in Urši Triplat, obe obsojeni čarovništva leta 1673.
Keywords:čarovniški procesi na Slovenskem, čarovnice babice, preprečevanje rojstev in pregoni, razvoj zdravstva in porodničarske stroke.

Title:WITCHES IN SLOVENIA: HERBALISTS, MIDWIVES OR JUST ORDINARY WOMEN
Abstract:The thesis entitled Witches in Slovenia: herbalists, midwives or just ordinary women is based on researching works and witchcraft trials to determinate the occurrence of midwives among those convicted of witchcraft. Midwives were supposedly the ones who were prosecuted the most. Causes of prosecution are presented along with how the trials took place and what fate awaited those convicted of witchcraft in Slovenia. Reasons for prosecution are described together with the trial cases of those convicted in connection with herbalism. It is essential to take the development of the medical profession and obstetrics into consideration as well as how people took care of contraception and which herbs were used for medical purposes. Despite the early development of the medical profession, folk medicine had a far greater role among the common people (i.e. peasants). Two unpublished transliterated sources of court trials against Marina Bohinec and Urša Triplat, both convicted of witchcraft in 1673, are processed in detail in this thesis.
Keywords:witchcraft trials in Slovenia, witches midwives, prevention of births and prosecutions, the development of medicine and obstetric profession.
