Abstract:Namen diplomskega dela je bil ovrednotiti vpliv različnih koncentracij PRP EBV® (Eau Bleue Vegetal, PRP Technologies) na rast in razvoj proučevanih okrasnih rastlin (Begonia semperflorens LINK ET OTTO 'Senator Scarlet' in Pelargonium peltatum L'HERIT.

Title:The impact of physiological stimulator PRP EBV on morphological properties of ornamental plant
Abstract:The purpose of the thesis was to evaluate the effects of PRP EBV® (Eau Bleue Vegetal, PRP Technologies) in various concentrations on the growth and development of ornamental plants (Begonia semperflorens LINK ET OTTO, 'Senator Scarlet' and the Pelargonium peltatum L'HERIT. 'Ville de Paris Red'). The impact on growth and development of plants was studied in four administered concentrations: control (no treatment), 0.5 %, 1 % and 2 %. The mixture was being administered through leaves from May (week 20) to August (week 34) on a two-week basis. We have evaluated the plants morphological characteristics for: number of developed leaves, the number of blooming blossoms, plants height and width, mass of undried and dried plants and the mass of undried and dried roots. We found that the concentration of the PRP EBV mixture has a significant impact on the morphological properties of the studied plant species. On begonias 'Senator Scarlet' the 2% PRP EBV concentration was most effective throughout the growing phase, however, the biggest impact was shown at the end of the growth phase, on the fourth sampling date. On begonias 'Senator Scarlet' the PRP EBV had a significant impact on all of the morphological characteristics. On pelargoniums 'Ville de Paris Red' the statistically significant impact of PRP EBV on the morphological properties was evident at the end of the growth phase, on the third and fourth sampling date, however, significant changes were only seen in the number of leaves and blossoms. The efficiency of the PRP EBV blend depends on the applied concentration and the given plant species.
