Abstract:V okviru diplomske naloge smo izvedli raziskavo sežiga odpadnih plinov v reformerju pri procesu proizvodnje metanola. V procesu proizvodnje metanola izhajajo velike količine odpadnih plinov, predvsem v delu čiščenja surovega metanola.

Title:Incineration analysis of waste gas within the reformer
Abstract:In the context of the diploma thesis the tasks we conducted a study of incineration of the waste gases in the reformer in the process of production of methanol. In the process of production of methanol derived large amounts of waste gases, particularly in the work of the cleaning of crude methanol. The composition of the waste gas the majority of it consists of methane, water vapour, carbon dioxide, some of it is still carbon monoxide. Because they have some of the components much incineration value, is thus transmitted to the combustion in the reformer, and so they use less fuel oil for its operation. On the basis of reactions, which expire in reformer with combustion of gaseous and liquid fuels, and their composition, we calculated how much CO2 and water vapour is produced during the incineration. Also we calculated the oxygen consumption in both types of fuels. After finishing the analysis we compared theoretically value flue gas, which we calculated, with the actual value from the company Nafta Petrochem in Lendava. We found that if we sent the waste gases to combustion in the reformer, consume less fuel oil for the operation. Also we have simulated the incineration process with simulator Aspen Plus, where we got a similar result as the theoretically calculated and we were comparing it with the actual value of the flue-gas.
