Abstract:Preučili in predstavili smo strukturo Posebne policijske enote (v nadaljevanju: PPE), dela, naloge in pooblastila, da bi ugotovili, kaj vpliva na njeno hitro, taktično in učinkovito delovanje.

Title:Logistics of special police unit using orientation grid
Abstract:We have examined and presented the structure of the Special Police Unit, its work, tasks and powers, in order to find out what impacts its rapid, tactical and effective action. Focus is put on logistic methods and techniques, which are already applied, and attempted to put forward a logistic proposal that could result in improved speed, tactics and effectiveness of the Special Police Unit. We have introduced an orientation grid as an effective logistics tool; its implementation can improve reaction time of the Special Police Unit due to easier identification and search of locations, communication between the police officers of the Special Police Unit and other units and organisations cooperating with the police officers of the Special Police Unit, etc. With the introduction of the orientation grid as a single and effective tool for orientation and movement in the field, which is independent of electrical power, we could avoid also diversity of orientation methods and the resulting difficulties. As the orientation grid is a logistics tool and as it is known that each novelty in the field of logistics has a positive impact on the finances of an organisation, we established that by introducing the orientation grid miscellaneous costs may be significantly reduced, such as costs of working hours, costs of procurement of equipment or technical means and, consequently, depreciation costs, costs of servicing and maintenance costs.
