Abstract:V zaključnem delu Zmožnost zaznave začetnih glasov v besedah in prepoznavanja črk predšolskih otrok smo v teoretičnem delu najprej predstavili govorni razvoj, saj je govor najosnovnejša oblika komunikacije.

Title:The preschool children's obility to detect early sounds in words and to recognize letters
Abstract:In the final part of The preschool children’s ability to detect early sounds in words and to recognize letters, the language development was firstly presented in the theoretical part because speech is the most basic form of communication. Then we moved on to the integration of language development with the literacy, early literacy, development of pre-reading and pre-writing skills and abilities, sensory abilities, family reading and finally to the activities for the development of literacy. In the second part, the so-called empirical part, the intention was to determine the progress in perception of initial sound and recognition of letters over a period of six months. The main purpose was to determine the progress of phonological awareness and recognition of letters with preschool children. We came to the conclusion that the child’s perception of initial sound and recognition of letters progresses in the course of six months. With some children, this progress is faster than with the others. In the second evaluation children generally correctly detached more than a half of initial sounds. There was also seen a progress in identifying letters.
