Abstract:
ETL (izvoz transformacija in nalaganje) je kratica za proces migracije podatkovne baze. V tej diplomski nalogi opišemo ETL procese ter odprtokodna ETL orodja podjetja Pentaho, nato pa prikažemo in ocenimo njihovo uporabo na praktičnem primeru podjetja LMSCloud GmbH za transformacije knjižnične podatkovne baze v bazo informacijskega Sistema Koha. Na koncu podamo tudi rešitve specifičnih optimizacij in problemov, na katere se lahko naleti pri uporabi Pentaho ETL orodij.

Title:
The Transformation of Data from Databases to the Koha System with Pentaho Tools
Abstract:
ETL (Extract Transform Load) describes a process of a database migration. In this thesis, we first describe the ETL processes and the open source Pentaho ETL tools, and afterwards show and evaluate their use on a practical use case of the company LMSCloud GmbH for the migration of a library database into the database of the Koha information system. In the end, we provide solutions to specific optimizations and problems that one might encounter while using the Pentaho ETL tools.
