Raziskovalne metode: V raziskavi smo uporabili kvantitativno metodologijo raziskovanja.

Title:Myocardial infarction as a consequence of diabetes
Abstract:Theory: Diabetes is a chronic, non-communicable disease, which is increasingly common in the world. Adults are more likely to be affected but there are also more and more children who get ill. In Slovenia the number of patients with diabetes are increasing. The purpose of this dissertation is to is to present diabetes and heart infarction as one of the consequences in this disease. Research methodology: In the study, we used a quantitative research methodology. We obtained data using an anonymous questionnaire conducted in the Society of diabetics Maribor. In the survey participated 100 members, 85 of them were correctly completed. We proccesed data and graphically displayed using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and SPSS 20.0. Results: The survey showed that people are aware of the greater risk of cardiovascular disease like heart attack but they are offered with the appropriate expertise and information they need. Diabetic patients are able to recognize the signs of a heart attack and the vast majority also react properly. Decision: Diabetes is a disease in which patients must learn to live with. With a healthy lifestyle, they prolong their life and reduce the chances of chronic complications that lead to serious conditions such as a heart attack. We believe that early detection of signs and immediate action is essential in a heart attack.
