Abstract:Redna telesna aktivnost predstavlja pomembni del zdravega življenjskega sloga, kar so potrdile številne študije.

Title:Psysical activity and rumination in relation to burnout, depression, positive affect and work-family conflict
Abstract:Regular physical activity is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, according to a number of studies. Those studies associate regular physical activity with a broad spectrum of positive effects on both physical and mental health. The aim of this study was to examine the relation between sports activity and rumination with the quality of an individuals work and private life. More distinctly, the objective is to research the connection between sports activity and rumination with burnout, depression, positive affect and work-family conflicts. We presumed that mental detachment plays a crucial role as a moderator and motivation as a mediator. The sample consisted of 223 physically active and employed individuals, who are currently in a relationship. We used the Perceived Work Demands Scale, the Recovery Experience Questionnaire, the Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (OLBI), the Work-Family Conflict Scale, the Brief Measures of Positive and Negative Affect (PANAS), the Work-Related Rumination Questionnaire, the Self-Regulation Questionnaire (SRQ-E) and the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9). To analyze the relation between sports activity and rumination with presumed dependent variables and the interaction between motivation as a mediator, we used a hierarchical multiple regression, with the Enter method. To analyze the moderation and mediation between predictors and the criteria we used the Procces Macro tool. The results showed that work demands predict work to family conflict but not also family to work conflict. According to the results, rumination is a statistically significant predictor of positive affect for problem-solving rumination and detachment subscales. It also showed that rumination is a predictor of depressive symptoms. The results showed that the amount of physical activity partially predicts depressive simptoms.
