Abstract:Diplomsko delo predstavlja analizo možnosti aplikacije dveh najpogostejših tehnologij 3D tiska v serijski proizvodnji.

Title:Comparison of application of selective laser sintering technology and FDM printers in mass production
Abstract:The following diploma represents analysis of application of two most common 3D printing technologies in mass production. Since the technology of selective laser sintering and fused deposition modelling differ greatly in the value of investment as well as technological characteristics, referring primarily to the speed of the printing, the entrepreneur is faced with a difficult decision to choose the appropriate technology before starting a business. In diploma work, through the cost and technological analysis of the production of a pre-defined product, I found out that the most appropriate choice for application of 3D printing in serial production is to invest in larger number of fused deposition modelling printers. The investment in this technology is much lower than the investment in selective laser sintering technology, while the simultaneous operation of several printers achieves similar technological times at much lower cost of production, which makes it possible to achieve competitive selling prices on the market.
