Abstract:Internetne stvari so medsebojno povezane naprave, ki zbirajo in delijo podatke.

Title:Cryptographic protection analysis for EDNET .POWER smart power plug
Abstract:Internet of things consists of connected devices that collect and exchange data. They are relatively new devices that are spreading rapidly around the modern world, but like many new devices, they have not been thoroughly tested against potential security threats. In this thesis, we analysed the safety of one of these devices, specifically the software of the EDNET .POWER smart power plug (model num. 84290). We checked the devices functions, encryption, and data transfer and found that the device uses weak encryption algorithms and has poorly secured data transfer. According to the results of the tests, we consider that the device is poorly protected and unsuitable for use in security critical areas.
