Abstract:Splet predstavlja spremembo v komunikaciji, stilu sporočanja in tvorjenju besedil.

Title:Forensic linguistics: determining the profile of writers of online comments using linguistic-stylistic algorithms
Abstract:The web presents a change in communication, communication styles, and text formation. Due to formalized anonymity, enabled by the web, identifying authors of online discourses and texts is becoming increasingly challenging as the hybrid form of conveying information employing a new metadiscourse requires cutting edge methods for identifying authorships of such texts. We introduced Foucault’s archaeology of knowledge pertaining to language and discourse as a linguistic and theoretical basis of the master’s thesis, took into the account Unuk’s views on style, and complemented general linguistics theory with key insights from the fields of forensic linguistics and forensic stylistics. In the applicative part of the master’s thesis, namely statistical, forensic and corpus analysis, we adhered to Keržan’s principles of objectivity, relevance, and self-criticism. The suitability of the theoretical concept for the research issue of the master’s thesis was confirmed by our research, as the results show the potential value of the methodology used when identifying stylistic differentiation of text types, web comments, and all texts in general. The introduced stylistic values also enable the identification of the authorship of text(s) and creation of stylistic profiles of web commentators.
