Abstract:Magistrsko delo Pravopisna in slovnična ustreznost deklaracij prehranskih izdelkov s pravopisnega, slovničnega in stilističnega vidika obravnava zapise na deklaracijah predpakiranih prehranskih izdelkov. Naključno je bilo izbranih, fotografiranih in prepisanih šest oz. sedem različnih deklaracij izdelkov štirinajst pogosteje rabljenih skupin živilskih izdelkov, in sicer moka, olje, mleko, jedilna čokolada, mlečna čokolada, kava, jabolčni nektar, čokoladni puding, peresniki, riž, sladkor, maslo, metin čaj in opečenec.

Title:Spelling and Grammatical Suitability of Food Product Declarations
Abstract:The Master’s Thesis Spelling and Grammatical Suitability of Food Product Declarations discusses the recordings on prepacked food product declarations from an orthographic, grammatical, and stylistic aspect. The Thesis presents general legalities on recordings on declarations and legislation in this field. Furthermore, it defines the linguistic legislation and rules from language guides: Slovenski pravopis [Slovene Orthography] (2007), Slovenska slovnica [Slovene Grammar] (Toporišič 2000) in Slovar slovenskega knjižnega jezika 2 [Dictionary of the Standard Slovene Language 2] (2014), which show proper writing of inadequacies appearing in the analysed declarations. The main part of the Thesis focuses on inadequacies on analysed food product declarations. Six or seven different product declarations out of fourteen frequently used groups of food products, namely flour, oil, milk, bitter chocolate, milk chocolate, coffee, apple nectar, chocolate pudding, penne, rice, sugar, butter, mint tea, and toast, were chosen at random to be photographed and copied. The results were collected according to the type of linguistic inadequacies, similarity of the discussed products and the common brand. The most comprehensive part of the results include classifications on types of linguistic inadequacies: spelling, grammar and style. There are many different types of inadequacies on declarations; most of them are minor errors, which do not have an impact on the understanding of the recordings. The declarations were studied by groups of the same food products, therefore their errors are comparable. The Thesis draws attention to errors in the recordings on the declarations and gives suggestions on how to improve these recordings. Moreover, the Thesis presents and analyses in detail inconsistencies in the linguistic field.
Keywords:orthography, grammar, linguistic inadequacies, declarations, food products.
