Abstract:	Glede na vse večjo problematiko onesnaženosti okolja vidimo v pomanjkanju uporabe javnega mestnega potniškega prometa velik problem, saj z uporabo lastnega prevoza po mestnih središčih, le te še dodatno okoljsko obremenjujemo. Največji problem vpeljave in povečanja uporabe javnega mestnega potniškega prometa med prebivalstvom so finančni stroški. Namreč večina mest si zaradi nizkega proračuna ne more privoščiti visokih finančnih vložkov, ki bi bili potrebni za popolno spremembo in reorganizacijo prometne ureditve mestnih središč. Raziskovali, analizirali in primerjali smo dve slovenski mesti, Velenje in Celje. Med prebivalci Celja smo izvedli anketo o uporabi javnega potniškega transporta, v nadaljevanju JPT, in jo statistično analizirali z uporabo metode za analizo statističnih podatkov. Ugotovili smo, da prebivalci Celja redko za transport uporabijo JPT. Razlog nizke uporabe je, da je vozni red zelo nefleksibilen, hkrati pa so tudi avtobusi izrabljeni, neprilagojeni invalidom. Zaključimo lahko, da imajo evropska mesta, za razliko od slovenskih mest zelo dobro poskrbljeno za javni mestni potniški transport, v nadaljevanju JMPT. Vozne linije so številne in tudi časovno zelo pogoste, hkrati pa so tudi avtobusi prilagojeni in dostopni tako invalidom kot tudi otroškim vozičkom. V večini slovenskih mest primanjkuje finančnih sredstev, s katerimi bi posamezne občine uredile JMPT, ki bi bil prebivalcem prijazen, in tako ostaja problem prenasičenosti mestnih središč z avtomobili, velika onesnaženost mest in gneče ob dnevnih konicah.

Title:	Study of modern technological solutions in public passenger transport and its implementation in celje
Abstract:	Considering growing of environment polution, the lack of using public city passenger transport is becoming big issue, because by using personal transport in city centers, we make the polution even greater. The biggest problem of implementation and increasing the use of public city passenger transport is mainly high cost. Many cities due to low financial budget can not afford high financial burdens of complete reorganisation of city traffic infrastructure. In first part we used descriptive method with domestic and foreign literature overview regarding public city passenger transport in Slovenia and other European cities. In second part of diploma we researched, analysed and compared two Slovenian cities Velenje and Celje. With citizens of Celje we performed a quary of public passenger transport (PPT) usage and made statistical analisys with use of method for statistic data analisys. We found out that the citizens of Celje rarely use PPT for transport. The main reason for low rate of usage is nonflexible timetable, buses are old and used and not suitable for disabled persons. We can draw a conclusion that European cities have very good designed public city passenger transport (PCPT) when compared to Slovenian cities. They have large numbered and dense transport lines with buses suitable for use by disabled persons and persons with stroller. In the majority of Slovenian cities there is lack of financial resources that would enable municipalities organize citizens friendly PCPT, so the saturation of cities with cars and high polution levels with dayly peaks still remain a large problem.
