Abstract:
V magistrskem delu je predstavljen eden pomembnejših hrvaških skladateljev Vatroslav Lisinski. V svojem kratkem življenju je veliko ustvarjal in je zapisal v hrvaško glasbeno in kulturno zgodovino. Na podlagi analize virov, biografskih in bibliografskih zapisov sem prikazal teoretični pregled njegovega življenja in ustvarjanja. Hkrati je na podlagi notnega in zvočnega zapisa prikazana analiza njegovega najpomembnejšega dela, prve hrvaške opere "Ljubav i zloba". Poleg analize glasbe in libreta sem se poglobil tudi v analizo in pomen zborovskih točk v navedeni operi.

Title:
The role and meaning of choir performance in the opera love and malice (ljubav i zloba)
Abstract:
This master's thesis presents the life and work of Vatroslav Lisinski, one of the most prominent Croatian composers. Lisinski was very prolific during his short life and definitely became an integral part of musical and cultural heritage in Croatia. Research based on sources, such as biographical and bibliographical records, served as a basis for providing a theoretical overview of his career as a composer. At the same time, musical notations and audio recordings were used for analysis of his most significant composition, the first Croatian opera titled Ljubav i zloba ("Love and Malice"). Besides the music and libretto in the opera, the thesis also focuses on the significance of the parts sang by the choir.
