Abstract:Prispevek spregovori o problematiki slovenščine kot učnega jezika v visokem šolstvu. Na kratko je predstavljen položaj slovenščine nekoč in danes. Izpostavljena sta pomen dosledne rabe slovenskega knjižnega jezika v celotnem vzgojno- izobraževalnem procesu (od vrtca do univerze) in polnofunkcijska vloga slovenščine v visokem šolstvu, tj. slovenščine v vlogi strokovnega jezika in jezika znanosti. Prikazane so usmeritve, ki jih na področju jezikovnega načrtovanja predvidevajo naslednji dokumenti: Prerez politike jezikovnega načrtovanja v Sloveniji (2003), Nacionalni program za jezikovno politiko 2007–2011, Bela knjiga (2011), Skupni evropski jezikovni okvir (2011) in Nacionalni program za jezikovno politiko 2012– 2016 (osnutek). Sledi raziskava, v kateri so zbrana stališča študentov Pedagoške fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani do slovenščine kot učnega jezika. V sklepnih ugotovitvah so podane nekatere strategije za izboljšanje dosedanje jezikovne prakse v visokem šolstvu.
