Abstract:Magistrska naloga predstavlja vključenost družbene odgovornosti v šolsko prakso s strani pedagogov šolskih svetovalnih delavcev. Namen je bil preučiti pojmovanje družbene odgovornosti pedagogov šolskih svetovalnih delavcev, pomen družbene odgovornosti, kakor jo zaznavajo pedagogi in oceno šolske prakse z vidika družbene odgovornosti.

Title:The Role of Educator as School Counsellor in the Development of Pupils' Social Responsibility
Abstract:Master's thesis represents the inclusion of social responsibility into school practice of educators as school counsellors. Work of school counsellors is based on law, rules and guidance criteria, and follows accepted national values. Despite the latter, there is a question to what extent is the work of educators as school counsellors consistent with school doctrine and its concept, as well as to what extent is social responsibility embedded into their work. Empirical final work consists of six interviews from educators as school counsellors in primary and secondary schools. The purpose of the work was to examine the concept of social responsibility, the importance of social responsibility as perceived by educators and evaluation of school practice from the perspective of social responsibility. Empirical pedagogical research was founded on descriptive method. The research showed that educators perceive social responsibility as a great role in transferring values to children, by pursuing it by themselves or in cooperation with other counsellors, parents and headmasters. Educators as school counsellors are aware of responsibilities in their work, but do distinguish between contribution to social responsibility within their official duty and their own contribution. Additionally, human solidarity, striving for their own autonomy, using their own principles, setting limits in cooperation with others, and acceptance and acknowledgement of their work are also of substantial importance to them. Educators as school counsellors are also faced with irresponsible practices which are addressed long-term, preventive or curative. As an obstacle within their work they specify the lack of time and the rule of law which shades the essence of pedagogical work.
