Abstract:	V magistrski nalogi smo poskušali prikazati teoretična izhodišča, ki bi bralcu omogočila boljše razumevanje logistike, poslovanja, tehnoloških sprememb ter poslovnih procesov in prenavljanja le-teh. Osredotočili smo se na prenovo enega, a zelo pomembnega in kompleksnega delovnega procesa znotraj podjetja DHL Express Slovenija, d. o. o. Za prenovo smo izbrali uvozni proces, ki vključuje več elementov, ki so za bolj učinkovito delovanje nujno potrebni temeljite prenove oz. posodobitve. Namen naše prenove je bil s pomočjo tehnoloških izboljšav prilagoditi proces do te mere, da se bo odvijal tekoče, pri čemer se bo skrajšal čas obdelave pošiljke od vstopne točke v skladišče do izstopne. S prenovo smo želeli vplivati tudi na zmanjšanje stroškov poslovanja ter na razbremenitev zaposlenih, ki rokujejo s pošiljkami. V empiričnem delu smo podrobno analizirali aktualen proces in stanje v podjetju. Podatke smo pridobili preko intervjujev s ključnimi udeleženci procesa, z opazovanjem in iz interne dokumentacije podjetja. Trenutno stanje uvoznega procesa smo predstavili grafično in opisno. Pripravili smo prenovo poslovnega procesa, znotraj katere smo se osredotočili na spremembe na področju tehnologije, opreme, reorganizacije skladiščnega prostora, organizacije in načrtovanja dela, ter na zmanjševanje fizične obremenjenosti za zaposlene na delovnem mestu. V sklopu prenove poslovnega procesa smo podali različne predloge in z analizo predstavili možne učinke predlaganih posodobitev na splošno poslovanje podjetja. Analiza predlogov je pokazala, da z investicijo v novo opremo lahko pozitivno vplivamo na znižanje stroškov poslovanja, zvišanje dobička in na možnost za sprejem večjih količin pošiljk, pa tudi na zmanjšanje pretočnih časov obdelave pošiljk in na znižanje obremenjenosti zaposlenih. Slednja bi se znižala tudi s samo reorganizacijo skladiščnega prostora in preko sprememb na področju organizacije ter načrtovanja dela. Ugotovitve so pokazale, da bi spremembe pozitivno vplivale na celotno poslovanje podjetja, kar bi posledično lahko pomenilo večjo konkurenčnost na trgu in višji ugled podjetja.

Title:	Business process re-engineering and the introduction of a new technology to the dhl express slovenia warehouse
Abstract:	This Master's thesis shows the theoretical starting points, which would enable the reader to better understand the logistics, business, technological changes, business processes and the means of rebuilding them. The thesis focuses on improving one crucial and complex business process within the company DHL Express Slovenija, d. o. o. For the purpose of improvement, we have selected the import process with its several elements that require more thorough renovation for a more efficient operation. With the help of technological improvements, the aim of our renovation is to adapt the process to such an extent that it will be carried out smoothly, thus reducing the shipment processing time from the warehouse entry point to the exit point. By implementing improvements we also wanted to cut the costs of operations and to reduce the workload of employees who handle the shipments. In the empirical part of the thesis, we present a detailed analysis of the current process and the situation in the company. Data were obtained through interviews with key partakers in the process, with observation and by internal documentation of the company. We present the current state of the import process graphically and descriptively. We have prepared a business process reengineering, with focus on changes in the field of technology, equipment, reorganization of storage space, work organization and planning, and on reducing the physical burden of employees at the workplace. As part of the business process improvement, the thesis includes various proposals and presents the analysis of possible effects of the proposed renovations to the company's overall business. The analysis of the proposals shows that an investment in new equipment can have a positive impact on the reduction of operating costs, on the increase in profits and on the possibility of receiving larger quantities of shipments, on the reduction of the shipments' handling times and finally on the reduction in the burden posed on the employees. The latter would also be reduced by the mere reorganization of the storage space and through changes in the organization and planning of work. The findings show that the changes would have a positive impact on the entire business of the company, which could consequently lead to greater competitiveness in the market and higher reputation of the company.
