Abstract:Uvod: Za operacijske medicinske sestre so varnostni mehanizmi in delovanje elektrokirurške enote težko razumljivi.

Title:Didactic scientific experiments on complex mechanisms of electrosurgery
Abstract:Introduction: For operating room nurse if difficult to understand the safety mechanisms and operation of the surgical unit. In the research we presented a didactic approach to illustrate those complex mechanisms. Methods: We have carry out the experiment in controlled environment, with used experimental method, where we have described the translation of high-frequency electric through human body. We have used the electric lamps and light bulbs, in which the electric was transferred. In clinical environment this caused tissue breakage and coagulation. We have used Covidien Force triade electro-surgical equipment and split neutral electrodes. Results: The result showed the gas ionization in an electric lamp and a clear path of electric flowing through human body. On electrode we have set the direction based on that which is the most sensitive for the safety system on the patient skin contact. We have didactically demonstrate high frequency of electricity in the electrosurgery cutor and bipolar pincete cable, which is attached to different lamps. Discussion: For patient safety is important that operating room nurse understand the principles, which can lead to unwanted burns. The use of a didactic approach helps to understand principles that are otherwise difficult to understand.
