Title:Construction and automation of machine for bottle label removal
Abstract:In graduation thesis machine for removing labels from plastic bottles is described. Machine was designed and manufactured with goal to remove labels from PET bottles since they contain material (paper, glue …), which is not suitable for recycling and reuse. This thesis includes information from: machinery design, which describes machinery parts and layout, electrical circuit diagrams, automation equipment, calibration of new machine. Label remover is mainly built from machine treated metal sheets. It contains electrical motor with gearbox and belt drive. For automation purpose, Siemens PLC is used. Other electrical equipment such as frequency converter, circuit breakers, terminals are also used of course. In this thesis there is also control software presented. It contains TIA portal, WinCC, NT terminal and flowchart diagram. Machine is built and sold to the end user, therefore User’s manual has been made also. Problems, which has showed up during execution and short testing and commissioning are also described. Although the machine is almost completely automatized, it still needs occasionally operating and maintenance interventions.
