Abstract:	Nasilje nas v zadnjih nekaj desetletjih spremlja vsepovsod. Vsak pa se mora pri sebi odločiti, kako se bo ob pojavu nasilja odzval – ali bomo kaj storili za izboljšanje problema ali pa si bomo pred nasiljem samo zatisnili oči in odšli stran ter mu tako omogočili, da se še bolj razvije. Čeprav o nasilju govorimo le zadnjih nekaj let, pa to ne pomeni, da ga prej niso poznali, ampak pomeni samo to, da se o tem prej ni govorilo in da je bilo znano kot tabu tema. Treba se je zavedati, da nasilje vključuje vse nas, ne samo državnih ustanov. V Sloveniji se je leta 1989 pojavilo društvo, imenovano SOS. Namenjeno je reševanju in lajšanju socialnih stisk in težav ter izvajanju različnih oblik psihosocialne pomoči za ženske in otroke – žrtve nasilja v družini ter partnerskih in sorodstvenih zvezah – v okviru osnovnih in spremljevalnih programov društva. Vsi zaposleni v vrtcih in šolah pa smo dolžni, da vsako obliko nasilja, ki jo opazimo, tudi prijavimo. Diplomsko delo Pojav nasilja v zasavskih vrtcih je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu smo opisovali, kaj je nasilje, predstavili njegove oblike ter tudi vlogo vrtca in vzgojiteljice pri prepoznavanju nasilja. V empiričnem delu smo raziskali, v kolikšni meri so nasilje v zasavskem vrtcu opazile vzgojiteljice.

Title:	The phenomenon of violence in kindergarens in the central Sava valley
Abstract:	In the last few decades, violence has accompanied us everywhere. Each individual must decide for him/herself how to react to the phenomenon of violence. Will we do something to improve the situation, or will we simply close our eyes to violence and turn away, thus allowing violence to develop further? Although it is only in the last few years that we have spoken openly about violence, this does not mean that violence was previously unknown; it merely reflects the fact that violence was a taboo subject and was not previously discussed openly. It should be remembered that violence involves all of us, not just state institutions. In Slovenia, an association called SOS appeared 1989. The association is aimed at tackling and alleviating social distress and problems, and at the implementation of various forms of psychosocial assistance for women and children who are victims of violence in the family and in relationships with partners and relatives. This is accomplished within the framework of the basic and accompanying programmes of the association. All employees in kindergartens and schools are obliged to report any form of violence observed. The graduate thesis entitled The Phenomenon of Violence in Kindergartens in the Central Sava Valley consists of a theoretical and an empirical section. In the theoretical section, we define violence and describe its forms, as well as outlining the role of the kindergarten and of preschool teachers in identifying violence. In the empirical section, we then investigate the extent to which violence is observed by preschool teachers in kindergartens in the Central Sava Valley.
