Abstract:Namen diplomskega dela Analiza razvoja nekaterih gibalnih sposobnosti in telesnih razsežnosti različno gibalno dejavnih in prehranjenih otrok v starosti od četrtega do šestega leta je s pomočjo longitudinalne študije analizirati nekatere gibalne sposobnosti in telesne razsežnosti otrok v obdobju dveh let.

Title:Development analysis of certain motor abilities and physical characteristics of diversely motor active and nourished children aged four to six
Abstract:The aim of my thesis Development analysis of certain motor abilities and physical characteristics of diversely motor active and nourished children aged four to six was to analyze certain motor abilities and physical characteristics of diversely motor active and nourished children aged four to six using the longitudinal study. Theoretical part of the thesis presents motor and physical development of preschool children and the factors that influence the two dimensions of this development. The non-probability survey sample (N=23) was chosen from the actual population of children aged four to six. Tests of motor abilities (dependent variable) present the measurement instrument of the survey. Attendance at additional sport activity and nourishment of children present the independent variables. The use of ANOVA analysis and t-test shows that children who attend the additional sport activity develop faster than those children who do not attend it. Furthermore it shows that the results of measuring physical characteristics do not statistically vary for children who attend the additional sport activity and those who do not attend it. Finally it shows that children in these two years who are normally nourished advance faster in motor development compared to children who are excessively nourished. Our assumptions have been proven by the first and the second research findings; the latter research finding has declined our assumption.
