Abstract:V lončnem poskusu v rastlinjaku smo v letih 2014 in 2015 ugotavljali pojav nodozitet in trtne uši na koreninah različnih kombinacij (podlaga/cepič) Vitis L. ('Renski rizling', 'Johanniter', '5C').

Title:Compatibility of Various Grapevine Rootstocks with the ’Riesling’ Variety and the Emergence of Nodosities on Phylloxera (Daktulosphaira vitifoliae Fitch) Infected Roots
Abstract:In 2014 and 2015 we conducted an experiment under controlled conditions (in a glasshouse), with potted grapevines. We determined the appearance of nodosities and phylloxera on the roots of different combinations (rootstock/scion) of Vitis L. ('Riesling', 'Johanniter', '5C'). Roots of all combinations were infested in June of every year (100 eggs per pot). At the end of the growing season in both years, five months after infection, we examined the roots under a microscope and counted the phyloxera and the nodosities. Simultaneously, we evaluated the compatibility of the 'Riesling' variety, grafted on 14 different rootstocks. Our findings suggest that two of them (’Alhäros’ and ’Novo Mexicana’) are not compatible with 'Riesling' in our conditions (all the grafts have failed), on the other hand, graft success of the other combinations was good (more than 50%). The appearance of nodosities and phylloxera was the greatest on grapevines grafted on rootstock ‘5C’, which we did not expect. The least nodosities or phylloxera were found where ‘5C’ was grafted on 'Riesling' rootstock. The number of phylloxera per root system did not affect the dry weight of the roots and shoots (R²=0.0226).
