Abstract:Delo diplomskega projekta z naslovom Ekonometrična analiza izvozne funkcije za Avstrijo in Belgijo obravnava analizo modela izvozne funkcije za obe državi. V modelu izvozne funkcije Avstrije so tri pojasnjevalne spremenljivke: EUGDP (BDP držav EU), II-C-A (industrijski indeks Avstrije z izvzetim gradbeništvom) in TOT-A (pogoji menjave). V modelu izvozne funkcije Belgije pa sta dve pojasnjevalni spremenljivki: EUGDP (BDP držav EU) in II-C-B (industrijski indeks Belgije z izvzetim gradbeništvom). S pomočjo znanja ekonometrije, ekonomske teorije in računalniškega programa EViews smo testirali definirane funkcije za nadaljnjo obravnavo v kateri smo preverili izpolnjevanje predpostavk metode najmanjših kvadratov uporabili dvojnologaritemsko funkcijo Avstrije in dvojnologaritemsko funkcijo Belgije. V delu so pojasnjene osnovne statistike, parcialni regresijski koeficienti, testi za ustreznost specifikacije in stabilnost parametrov ter predpostavke metode najmanjših kvadratov. Na koncu dela diplomskega projekta podajamo povzetek in primerjavo ocenjenih in popravljenih izvoznih funkcij Avstrije in Belgije.

Title:An Econometric Analysis of Export Function for Austria and Belgium
Abstract:The diploma project with the title An Econometric Analysis of the Export function for Austria and Belgium contains the analysis of the model for the export function for both countries. It deals with understanding, studying and defining export and export functions. For theoretical background acquired and deepened knowledge of the understanding of international trade, data from Austrian and Belgian statistical databases and the official EU statistical database Eurostat are used. A large and crucial part of the diploma project is intended for empirical macroeconomic analysis. Quarterly aggregate data from Eurostat was selected for the analysis, covering the period from 2000 to 2017. Two export functions are specified for each country; linear and log-log model. Austria`s export function model has three explanatory variables: EUGDP (GDP of EU countries), II-C-A (industrial index of Austria without construction) and TOT-A (terms of trade for Austria). Belgian`s export function model has two explanatory variables: EUGDP (GDP of EU countries) and II-C-B (industrial index of Belgium without construction). With the knowledge of econometrics, economics theory and computer program EViews we tested the defined functions for further consideration. Using log-log function of Austria and log-log function of Belgium we checked if the classical assumptions of Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method are met. This diploma project paper explains the basic statistics, partial regression coefficients, tests for the adequacy of specifications, tests for the stability of parameters of a regression model and further on we also verify the validity of the assumptions of the OLS method. In the end of the diploma project a comparison and summary of the final revised export functions of Austria and Belgium is revised.
Keywords:Austria, Belgium, export function, linear function, log-log function, dependent variable, explanatory variables, Ordinary Least Squares method.
