Toksičnost smo spremljali z bakterijami Vibrio fischeri.

Title:The influence of catalyst MnTACN on the UV/H2O2 efficiency in the Reactive Blue 4 dye degradation
Abstract:Coloration is one of the characteristics of textile wastewater presenting challenges not only from the aesthetic point of view, since such wastewater is also potentially toxic due to the presence of different chemicals used during the processes of enrichment. Discoloration of textile wastewater can be accomplished by various chemical cleaning procedures. In the diploma work advanced oxidation process H2O2/UV had been used for the purposes of discoloration. As the model pollutant Reactive Blue 4 dye was used. We studied the impact of the catalyst MnTACN (1,4,7-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane) on the performance of discoloration with the H2O2/UV process. Toxicity was monitored by Vibrio fischeri bacteria. On the basis of the analysis of the results, we have found that by adding the catalyst the effectiveness of decolorizing increases especially in the first five minutes of processing, regardless of the initial concentration of the dyes. In the tested reaction conditions the increased toxicity of the solutions as a result of added catalyst was not recorded.
