Abstract:V magistrskem delu smo obravnavali postopek implementacije Uredbe (EU) 2016/679 v podjetje X. Uredba (EU) 2016/679 je bolj poznana pod imenom Splošna uredba o varstvu osebnih podatkov. Sprejeta je bila že leta 2016, vendar pa se je začela uporabljati šele 25. maja 2018, zato smo v prvi polovici leta 2018 bili zasuti s ponudbami oz. novicami o implementaciji nove zakonodaje o varstvu osebnih podatkov. Splošna uredba o varstvu osebnih podatkov pomeni temeljni kamen zakonodaje na tem področju, ki ga je sprejela Evropska Unija. Sprejem nove zakonodaje je bil nujen zaradi tehnološkega napredka, ki je imel za posledico vedno več kršitev oz. posegov v pravico varstva osebnih podatkov. Magistrsko delo sestoji iz šestih sklopov. V prvem delu smo obravnavali temeljne pojme s področja varstva osebnih podatkov. V drugem smo nato predstavili zakonodajni okvir na področju varstva osebnih podatkov in opredelili cilje oz. spremembe, ki jih v pravni sistem prinaša Splošna uredba o varstvu osebnih podatkov. Osrednji del naloge predstavlja povezovanje teorije s prakso. V tem delu smo pozornost namenili uvedbi določb Splošne uredbe o varstvu osebnih podatkov v podjetje X. Teoretičen okvir smo podkrepili s praktičnimi primeri, ki so uporabni za vsako podjetje. Služijo lahko kot navodila za implementacijo prenovljene zakonodaje. V poglavju o Informacijskem pooblaščencu smo na podlagi mnenja preučevali določene dileme, ki jih prinaša nova zakonodaja. Kasneje smo analizirali stroške, ki jim je podvrženo podjetje pri implementaciji določil Splošne uredbe o varstvu osebnih podatkov. Izhajali smo iz podatkov podjetja X, tržnih cen in rezultatov raziskave na vzorcu 300 podjetij. V zaključku naloge smo podali še krajši komentar predlogu novega Zakona o varstvu osebnih podatkov v Republiki Sloveniji, katerega sprejetje pričakujemo do konca leta 2018.

Title:IMPLEMENTATION OF REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 IN COMPANY X
Abstract:The master thesis deals with the process of implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/679 in company X. Regulation (EU) 2016/679 is more commonly known as the General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data. It was accepted already in 2016 with effect from May 25 2018. In the first half of year 2018 we were filled with offers and news on the implementation of the new legislation on the protection of personal data. The General Regulation on the protection of personal data constitutes the milestone of the legislation regarding personal data adopted by the European Union. The adoption of new legislation was necessary due to technological progress, which resulted in more and more violations, interventions in the right to the protection of personal data. The master's thesis consists of six sections. In the first part, we discussed the basic concepts in the field of personal data protection. In the second, we presented a legislative framework in the field of personal data protection and defined goals and objectives of The General Regulation on the protection of personal data. The main goal of the thesis is to integrate theory with practice. In the main part of the thesis, we paid attention to the implementation of the provisions of the General Regulation on the protection of personal data in company X. The theoretical framework was supported by practical examples that are applicable to each company. They can serve as instructions for the implementation of the renewed legislation. In the chapter on the Information Commissioner, we have examined certain dilemmas brought about by the new legislation on the basis of our opinion. Subsequently, we analyzed the costs that the company is subject to in implementing the provisions of the General Regulation on the protection of personal data. We made our conclusions from Company X data, market prices and research results on a sample of 300 companies. In the last part of the thesis, we also made a brief comment on the proposal for a new Personal Data Protection Act in the Republic of Slovenia, the adoption of which is expected by the end of 2018.
