Abstract:V delu diplomskega seminarja predstavimo timsko delo in pojasnimo njegovo vlogo v organizaciji. Zanima nas, kako oblikujemo tim ter kakšne prednosti in slabosti prinaša takšna oblika dela.

Title:Designing successful teams and explaining their role in business organisations
Abstract:In this dissertation we have presented teamwork and explained it's role in business organisations. We were interested in how teams are formed and what pros and cons do they bring to an organisation. We compared teamwork with individual work in search of an answer, when is teamwork more appropriate for a specific situation. We looked for the challenges teamwork is facing in the modern world. Later we tried to explain role of every member in the team with help of Belbin's typology of team roles. We explained how to lead and motivate the team and what creative ways of thinking can they perform in search of a solution for organisations most complex problems. We defined when the team is considered successful and what specific features about self-managing teams is worth knowing. In conclusion we focused on multicultural teams, which are believed to have a lot of potential for overcoming complex problems. Throughout the dissertation we found out that teamwork is the most suitable for solving complex problems of organisations. Leadership, motivating and coordination are crucial for successful development of a team that is capable of achieving goals of the organization. Multicultural teams have certain problems in initial stages of existance due to diversity issues. However trough the time they appear to be more innovative than teams composed of members of the same culture.
