Abstract:Izhodišča: V magistrskem delu je opisana vloga kronično bolnega pacienta pri obvladovanju kroničnega obolenja. Z raziskavo smo želeli ugotoviti vpliv kroničnih bolezni na kakovost življenja pacientov s kronično boleznijo. Metode: Uporabili smo opisno deskriptivno metodo zbiranja podatkov, s pregledom domače in tuje literature ter s povzemanjem rezultatov in spoznanj tujih in domačih avtorjev.

Title:The role of a chronically ill patient in managing a chronic disease
Abstract:Background: The role of a chronically ill patient in the management of chronic disease is described in the master's thesis. With this study we wanted to determine the quality of life of a patient with chronic disease and its impact on the quality of life. Methods: We used a descriptive method of data collection, a review of domestic and foreign literature, and summarizing the results and findings of foreign and domestic authors. The quantitative method of research was used to carry out a survey among patients who were examined on the day of the study in two internist specialist outpatient clinics at the General Hospital Murska Sobota. Results: The results showed that most patients evaluate their knowledge as good (41.5%), followed by subjects who assess their health as satisfactory (35.78%). Other subjects believe that their health is very good (11.3%) or poor (8.8%), only 4 subjects evaluate their health as excellent. In 70.4% of subjects, the answer was that the improvement of the disease depends on themselves. Conclusion: From the study, we found that subjects with predominantly chronic diseases attributed a lesser influence to daily and physical activities. Chronic disease has a lesser impact on the quality of their lives in normal social activities with their family, friends, neighbors.
