Abstract:Podjetja se srečujejo s zalogami.

Title:Inventory optimization in a company mikro + polo
Abstract:Companies are faced with occurrence of inventory. Formation of inventory is caused by uncertainty of future phenomenon which may affect operation and ability to satisfy its customer or favourable financial outcomes that are resulted by ordering or producing larger quantities. Of course, there are also other reasons. Main goal is to get to know what are inventories, the costs they cause and the models used for their management. Inventories can present a large part of company’s assets and have a significant chunk of capital tied into them. Holding of inventories is causing costs that we want to minimize to assure successful operation without negatively affecting the business processes. For this purpose, we can use different mathematical models for managing inventory costs. Inventory management models are based on very specific conditions and assumptions that we must consider when we are making business decisions based on those models. With use of inventory optimization models companies can drastically reduce inventory cost. Reducing the inventory costs alone is not the only factor of successful inventory management. We must also consider capabilities of our business partners, good business partnerships and satisfied customers.
Keywords:inventory optimization, ABC analysis, types of inventory, inventory costs, inventory management.
