Abstract:
V teoretičnem delu diplomske naloge so predstavljene tehnologije DSL in storitev televizije IP ter orodja in postopki, s katerimi telekomunikacijski operater zazna težave pri storitvi televizije IP, ponujani preko DSL. V praktičnem delu je poudarek na konfiguriranju linijskih parametrov povezave DSL za zagotovitev kakovosti izkušnje storitve televizije IP. Uporabljena sta testna priključka DSL Telekoma Slovenije. Prvi testni priključek je uporabljen za predstavitev operaterjevih orodij, drugi pa za predstavitev konfiguriranja naročniškega priključka.

Title:
Improving IPTV user experience through remote xDSL parameter adjustment
Abstract:
The theoretical part of this diploma work presents DSL technologies and the IP television service as well as tools and procedures used by service providers to detect problems in IP television service offered through DSL. The practical part is focused on how to configure DSL connection line parameters to ensure the quality of experience of the IP television service. Two test DSL connections of Telekom Slovenije were used, one to present the providers tools and the other to present the configuring of the subscriber connection.
