Abstract:V magistrskem delu je prikazan potek izdelave kompozitne bioplastike.

Title:Development of bioplastic from the waste algae biomass
Abstract:Master thesis shows the development of bioplastic composite. As the basic polymer are selected PLA (polylactide) to which has been added in proportions 5:95 (microalgae:PLA) in 10:95 (microalgae:PLA) two tipes of bio-hardeners. One type bio-hardeners represents monoculture Spirulina, another type bio-hardeners represents a mixed culture of waste microalgae from pilot wastewater treatment plant. The objective of the master's thesis is to determine whether a mixed culture of waste micro-algae from the pilot treatment plant can be used in the production of bioplastics and what is the impact on final material properties. At work, we used the following methods: extrusion of biomass, injection molding, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical analysis test, bend test and test of biodegradability. We find out that microalgae do not significantly impact to the properties of the PLA material- the degree of crystallinity of the material increases, the melting temperature reduces and the modulus of losses increases.
