Abstract:Mrtvice predstavljajo enega glavnih naravnih vodnih habitatov za mnoge rastlinske in živalske vrste, a v zadnjih desetletjih močno izginjajo, zato je strategija njihovega ohranjanja izjemnega pomena. Vzorčenja smo izvedli v treh sezonah v štirih popisnih terminih, največ vrst smo zabeležili ob tretjem vzorčenju (N=53) in najmanj vrst pri prvem vzorčenju (N=25). Najvišjo abundanco (1) v vseh popisnih sezonah so izkazovale trpotčasti porečnik (Alisma plantago-aquatica), navadna krvenka (Lythrum salicaria), navadni trst (Phragmites australis), vodni sovec (Oenanthe aquatica) in paostrični šaš (Carex pseudocyperus). Najprej so se pojavile enoletne amfibijske vrste, npr. vodni sovec (Oenanthe aquatica), prava potočarka (Rorippa amphibia), črnordeča ostrica (Cyperus fuscus), nato trajnice, kot so širokolistni rogoz (Typha latifolia), ozkolistni rogoz (Typha angustifolia), kobulasta vodoljuba (Butomus umbellatus) in navadni trst (Phragmites australis). Kasneje smo opazili že otočkasto naselitev šašev in poselitev nekaterih tujerodnih vrst, kot so žlezava nedotika (Impatiens glandulifera), pravi kolmež (Acorus calamus), tridelni mrkač (Bidens tripartita) in žvrklja (Ambrosia artemisiifolia).

Title:The effect of revitalization interventions on the riparian vegetation of Csiko legelo/ Lake Petišovci Oxbow in Prekmurje region
Abstract:Oxbow lakes respresent one of the essential natural water habitats for many flora and fauna species. In the previous decade they have been increasingly dissapearing, therefore, the strategy for their conservation has a significant meaning. Our research was related to the study of the oxbow lake, called Csiko Legelo, at the southeast region of Prekmurje (Wetman, 2011-2015). Between 2014 and 2016 we have executed the research on water and riparian vegetation at Mura river zone, more specifically on the oxbow lake Cisko Legelo (Petišovsko lake). We have compared flora inventory before (year 2011) and after (years 2014-2016) intervention, and thus determined the trend of succession expansion, based on life aspect of tacsons. We have performed sampling in three seasons in four inventorial dates, registering the last majority of species at third sampling (N=53) and the least species at first sampling (N=25). In total, we have listed 61 different flora species on the oxbow lake Cisko Leglo. Additionally, we were determining the presence of foreign and invasive species, according to the season and the species on the Red list of endangered Pteridophyta and Spermatophyta. In the second season, more specificly in third inventorial date (August, 2015) there were most endangered species (16) and in third season in fourth inventorial date (September 2016) only four (4). Out of all life forms, Herbaceous Perennials – Hemicryptotphyte (37,7 %) were the dominant species, the smallest share represented shrubs and semishrubs – Hamephyt (0,01 %) in all measured seasons. The highest abudance (1) in all inventorial seasons were displayed by European water-plantain (Alisma plantago-aquatica), purple loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria), common reed (Phragmites australis), fine leaved water dropwort (Oenanthe aquatica) and cyperus sedge (Carex pseudocyperus). Flowering rush (Butomus umbellatus), fine leaved water dropwort (Oenanthe aquatica), star duckweed (Lemna trisulca), great yellow cress (Rorippa amphibia) were mentioned in descriptions as the most rare and endagered species, while golden dock (Rumex maritimus) and European white water lily (Nymphaea alba) were mentioned most rarely. We have also done a DCA analysis for all species and separately for four choosen species (Oenanthe aquatica, Butomus umbellatus, Typha latifolia, Phragmites australis). After the analysis we have found out that the succession of the choosen section of oxbow lake takes place in three noticeable phases. First, one-year amphibious species have shown up, such as fine leaved water dropwort (Oenanthe aquatica), great yellow cress (Rorippa amphibia), brown fuscus (Cyperus fuscus), then perennials, such as broadleaf cattail (Typha latifolia), narrowleaf cattail (Typha angustifolia), flowering rush (Butomus umbellatus) and common reed (Phragmites australis). Later on we have noticed island-shaped population of Carex and other foreign species, such as Himalayan balsam (Impatiens glandulifera), swet flag (Acorus calamus), trifid bur-marigold (Bidens tripartita) and common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia). We can conclude that in a very short time after the mechanic procedures on a oxbow lake, the pioneer species and annuals settle down, which is typical for muddy and transient soils. Oenanthe aquatica and Rorippa amphibia are the most prominent species. This means that carefully planned procedures are not only positive, but also necessary in a certain aspect, as long as we want to obtain the long-term vitality of the oxbow lakes.
