Abstract:V večini evropskih držav imajo investitorji velike težave pri umeščanju novih energetskih objektov v prostor.

Title:Arguments for and against the construction of hydroelectric power plants on the Mura river.
Abstract:In most European countries investors face major difficulties when placing new energy infrastructure in physical space. In the diploma thesis this is illustrated by the example of the placement of new hydroelectric power facilities. The Mura River is potentially interesting for the construction of new hydroelectric power plants, a good example of which can be found in the neighbouring Austria. The development of two “youngest” hydroelectric power plants on the Mura River Gössendorf and Kalsdorf dates back to 2012 and 2013. Even though the construction activities for the construction of hydroelectric power plants on the Mura River started almost 15 years ago, the company Dravske elektrarne Maribor seems to be gradually moving further away from the start of the investment. This raises a question on how the growing requirement for replacing in the coming years energy generated in thermal and nuclear power plants with electric energy from renewable energy sources, will be realized in Slovenia.
Keywords:energy, hydroelectric power plant, drainage basin, Mura River, renewable energy.
