Rezultati so prepričljivi: pričakovano povečanje produktivnosti, zmanjšanje izmeta, digitalizacija proizvodnje in empirična potrditev vseh treh raziskovalnih hipotez.

Title:Development and implementation of manufacturing execution system in international company
Abstract:This master's thesis reveals how digital transformation theory translates into practice when an international automotive company develops and implements a Manufacturing Execution System across three production facilities in two European countries. Through a case study, the author documents the entire process that bridges development methodologies with real-world implementation. The work describes the design of a multi-tier system architecture, complex integration with backend systems, and change management challenges such as employee resistance. The results are compelling: expected productivity increase, scrap reduction, production digitalization, and empirical validation of all three research hypotheses. The hypotheses prove that MES alignment with business processes is critical for success, that organizational culture directly impacts implementation, and that MES is essential for global competitiveness in the demanding automotive sector. This work transcends mere technical project documentation, as it also offers valuable insights into a holistic approach to implementing complex information systems, where technology, organization, and people converge at the production process level.
Keywords:Manufacturing Execution System, MES, information systems development, business information solution implementation, integrations, digital transformation.
