Abstract:Izhodišča: V razvitem svetu okoli 15 % vseh bolezni predstavljajo bolezni srca in ožilja. Vključeni so bili pacienti z diagnosticirano anevrizmo abdominalne aorte. Rezultate smo obdelali in analizirali s pomočjo računalniških programov: Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel in IBM SPSS 25.0. Glede ostalih informacij so anketirani slabše seznanjeni.

Title:Awareness of patients about abdominal aortic aneurysm
Abstract:Background: Cardiovascular diseases account for 15% of all diseases in the developed world. Among them is the abdominal aortic aneurysm, which is asymptomatic in most cases, meaning it is usually discovered by accident during an ultrasound of the abdomen. The purpose of the thesis is to present and describe an abdominal aortic aneurysm, as well as to discover whether patients are aware of the abdominal aortic aneurysm. Methodology: The empirical part of the thesis is survey carried out in January 2019. The data was collected using a survey questionnaire, conducted among patients with diagnosed aneurysm of the abdominal aorta. The results were processed and analyzed using computer programs: Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel and IBM SPSS 25.0. Results: The results of the study showed that 90% of people surveyed know what aneurysm of the abdominal aorta is. Of these, 80% know, that the biggest complication is rupture of the aorta. 56 % of the people surveyed would visit the lecture about aneurysm. Conclusion: The aneurysm of the abdominal aorta is a very-well hidden disease, and transplant ultrasonography examinations would help early detection and treatment. This would prevent the emergence of major aneurysms.
