Abstract:Astma je najpogostejša kronična bolezen otrok. Otroci imajo z njo pogosto težave ob prebolevanju virusnih okužb dihal, prehladih in ob izpostavljanju alergenu (pelodi, pršice, živalska dlaka).

Title:Asthma in a child related to physical exertion
Abstract:: Asthma is the most common chronic illness in children. Children with asthma often have difficulty in overcoming viral infections of the respiratory system, colds and when exposed to allergens (pollen, mites, animal hair). Among other possible most common triggers of asthma deterioration is physical activity, which is commonly present with the school children. In the diploma work we wanted to find out how asthma is related to the physical effort of a child. In the theoretical part we used a descriptive method and we used a case study. We formed an interview based on 14 basic human needs by Virginia Henderson. We have studied a child who has been diagnosed with exercise-induced asthma at the age of three. With the help of a case study, we came to the conclusion that a child who has been diagnosed with exercise-induced asthma does not have severe problems with physical activity, if asthma is properly managed. Children with properly managed and successfully treated asthma do not have severe restrictions. In addition, by knowing the factors and measures of prevention and with proper treatment, we can contribute to the quality of life with little or no problems.
